Since 1976, IMCO Marine has been a family-owned leader in high-performance marine manufacturing — custom exhaust systems, fuel tanks, sterndrive repair, and fabrication trusted by boat builders, racers, and dealers nationwide. We’re looking for a skilled fabricator to join our team building custom aluminum fuel tanks for some of the fastest boats on the water.
The Role
You’ll build custom aluminum fuel tanks from start to finish — reading blueprints, determining material dimensions, shearing, bending, and welding (primarily MIG, with some TIG). Some tanks follow standard templates; others are fully custom builds made to a customer’s exact specs. This is hands-on, precision work in a clean, indoor shop environment — no outdoor work, no weather delays.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret blueprints/specs to determine material and dimensions
- Shear and bend aluminum sheet to spec
- MIG weld (primary) and TIG weld (secondary) fuel tank assemblies
- Work from both standard templates and fully custom designs
- Move and handle material throughout the build process
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on fabrication experience preferred
- Experience with aluminum fabrication and welding (MIG required, TIG a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings
- Ability to operate a press brake
- Comfortable operating a forklift
- Comfortable lifting and moving material — this is the most physically demanding part of the job
- Precision and attention to detail — these are safety-critical parts
- Reliable, in-person, full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM | No overtime expected
Benefits: 3 weeks paid vacation per year
